The Folklore Society of Greater Washington will cancel or postpone in-person events produced by FSGW, and withdraw co-sponsorship of in-person events produced by our partners that have not been canceled or postponed, until the later of: (1.) May 11, 2020 (which is eight weeks after March 16, 2020, per CDC recommendations) or, if applicable, (2.) when the relevant emergency order of that jurisdiction limiting large events is rescinded.
Dancers, callers, and musicians should monitor status of dances due to the fluid situation relating to ongoing concerns about the highly communicalbe cornavirus pandemic.
Virtual English Country Dances, started on May 13, continue for the foreseeable future. Plans are, understandably, in flux so watch the FSGW's ECD web page for updates. Watch also for informative email messages to local dancers.
